Snowy owls breed mostly in the Arctic tundra and rarely visit the northern United States. So when New England’s largest wildlife rehabilitation facility treated and released one of the wonderful creatures, it was all the more amazing. The snowy owl captured the public’s eye when it was featured in Harry Potter as Hedwig.
